Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, the session featured the bill\u2019s presentation by Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Rural Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">According to Hon. Okanlawon, the bill aims to provide a comprehensive framework for the local government system in Lagos State by consolidating existing laws to enhance governance and administration. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">He also highlighted that the bill incorporates consequential provisions from recent constitutional amendments and other relevant national laws that impact local government operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Following the adoption of the committee\u2019s recommendations, the House resolved to proceed with the bill\u2019s implementation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Speaker Obasa subsequently directed the Clerk of the House, Barr.
