As part of its corporate social responsibility, GVS Cosmetics<\/a> visited three general hospitals across Lagos to celebrate mothers and their 2025 New Year babies by donating personal care products for their use.<\/span><\/p>\n

The MD\/CEO of GVS Cosmetics, Chief Ebere Peter Nwosu, established <\/span>The Maternal & Neonatal Child Health<\/span> initiative to demonstrate his sustained commitment to actively contributing his quota in improving the health and well-being of every Nigerian.<\/span><\/p>\n

The visiting team to the General Hospitals was led by Pharmacist Lucy Odumu, General Manager of Marketing at GVS Cosmetics, and Jennifer Ezeanya, the Marketing Manager. GVS Cosmetics is the sole marketer of the Cosmo Cosmetics brand in Nigeria.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hospitals visited include the General Hospital, Gbagada; the Maternal and Child Centre, Ajah; and the Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beneficiaries of the GVS Cosmetics personal care packages included Mrs. Medina Olayiwola and Mrs. Esther Joseph at the General Hospital, Gbagada; Mrs. Christabel Akpat, Mrs. Rianat Idowu, Mrs. Doris Okeke, Mrs. Happiness Mathias, and Mrs. Funmilayo Jagbojagbo at the Maternal and Child Centre, Ajah; and Mrs. Oluchi Moses and Mrs. Esther Onyeme at the Amuwo Odofin Maternal and Child Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n

The visibly elated mothers commended GVS Cosmetics for the thoughtful initiative and urged the government at all levels to emulate such kind gestures.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pharmacist Lucy Odumu, General Manager of Marketing at GVS Cosmetics, while speaking with our correspondent during the visits, expressed her passion for supporting new mothers.<\/span><\/p>\n

She said, \u201cBeing a pharmacist, I have always had this conversation with our medical sector. So, when I assumed this position as GM of Marketing for GVS Cosmetics, the idea naturally aligned with my inclination to give back to society, especially to mothers who have just given birth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason for this is not far-fetched. At this period, women are at their most vulnerable, as they now have a new life to care for. This initiative aims to bring smiles to the faces of these mothers by giving them personal care and beauty products to take care of their after-birth skin and that of their babies, making them feel good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Odumu stated that the gesture reflects GVS Cosmetics\u2019 commitment to promoting maternal and child care in society while spreading joy to families during special moments.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cInitially, we planned to visit eight hospitals, but due to logistics and feedback, we settled for three: Gbagada General Hospital, Ogombo, and Festac. We chose New Year as a special day to celebrate the babies of the year and their mothers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis initiative is just the beginning of what we plan to do moving forward. It will become a lifetime event, with activities lined up for other significant days like Mother\u2019s Day and other occasions that celebrate mothers. We are committed to making this even better as time goes on,\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Odumu and her team members, including Jennifer, commended the staff in charge at the hospitals visited\u2014ADNS Abidoye at Gbagada General Hospital, CNO Oba Bernadine at the Maternal and Child Centre, Ajah, and N.O.
