Nigeria\u2019s home-based Super Eagles secured a spot in the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Ghana\u2019s Black Galaxies at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
After a goalless first leg in Accra, the Eagles B dominated the return leg, netting three goals in the first half.<\/p>\n
Remo Stars duo Sodiq Ismail and Nduka Junior opened the scoring within 22 minutes, with Rangers\u2019 Kazeem Ogunleye adding a third in the 25th minute.<\/p>\n
Ghana\u2019s Stephen Amankuna pulled one back in the 73rd minute, but it was only a consolation as Nigeria held on to secure their first CHAN qualification since 2018.<\/p>\n
The win was particularly sweet, coming against a Ghanaian side that had previously denied Nigeria CHAN qualification in 2008 and 2022.<\/p>\n
