{"id":21609,"date":"2024-12-27T15:37:10","date_gmt":"2024-12-27T15:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=21609"},"modified":"2024-12-27T15:37:54","modified_gmt":"2024-12-27T15:37:54","slug":"wike-fires-back-at-secondus-youre-the-real-enemy-of-governor-fubara","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=21609","title":{"rendered":"Wike Fires Back at Secondus: \u201cYou\u2019re the Real Enemy of Governor Fubara\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nyesom_Wike\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nyesom Wike<\/a>, has accused former PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus, of being the true adversary of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.<\/p>\n<p>Wike made this claim on Thursday at the PDP End-of-Year Thanksgiving in Ahoada East and Ahoada West, Rivers State.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to Secondus\u2019 recent remarks that Wike is an enemy of Fubara, the former Rivers governor countered, alleging that Secondus actively opposed Fubara\u2019s candidacy during the 2023 gubernatorial race, instead pushing for his cousin, Tele Ikuru, to be governor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI kicked out Secondus as PDP National Chairman because he tried to impose his cousin as the governor. Today, he claims to be Fubara\u2019s friend and calls us enemies. To God be the glory,\u201d Wike said.<\/p>\n<p>Wike also criticized Secondus and former Rivers governor Celestine Omehia for backing Fubara in their ongoing political rift. He dismissed allegations that he left uncompleted projects for Fubara, challenging the governor to name any such projects.<\/p>\n<p>The FCT Minister didn\u2019t hold back, branding Omehia an \u201cimbecile\u201d for accusing him of underperformance as a minister.
