{"id":20581,"date":"2024-11-05T20:14:20","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T20:14:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=20581"},"modified":"2024-11-05T20:33:58","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T20:33:58","slug":"bus-driver-sets-lastma-officials-ablaze-in-shocking-mile-2-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=20581","title":{"rendered":"Bus Driver Sets LASTMA Officials Ablaze in Shocking Mile 2 Incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><b>\u2026Several Officers Injured as Fiery Altercation Erupts in Broad Daylight<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">A commercial bus driver, yet to be identified, reportedly set several officials of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastma.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lagos State Traffic Management Authority<\/a> (LASTMA) on fire in a shocking incident that occurred Tuesday in the Mile 2 area of Lagos State.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Footage from the scene shows a yellow Volkswagen T4 bus with license plate LSD 355 CK, parked near the center of the road, surrounded by approximately eight <a href=\"https:\/\/lastma.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LASTMA<\/a> officers engaged in a heated exchange with the driver. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">Within moments, flames erupted, engulfing some of the officers, who were caught off guard by the sudden blaze. While a few managed to escape, others were not as fortunate and suffered injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">The driver, believed to be the assailant, was also engulfed in flames. Desperately trying to remove his burning singlet, he ran into the roadway, narrowly avoiding an oncoming petrol tanker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s2\">One of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastma.org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">LASTMA<\/a> officers sustained burns on his hand during the incident.
