The CAF ruling cited Libya for alleged mistreatment of the Nigerian team during a Nations Cup Qualifying Match. In response, the Ministry released a statement, signed by spokesperson Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, assuring that Nigerians in Libya are safe and able to go about their daily lives without interference.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to convey that, as of the time of this statement, Nigerians in Libya are conducting their daily activities without any form of harassment by Libyan authorities, following the Confederation of African Football\u2019s verdict, which found the Libyan Football Association at fault for the mistreatment of the Nigerian team and officials during a Nations Cup Qualifier in Libya.<\/p>\n
