The budding Afrobeat sensation, discovered by BigBeth TV\u2019s CEO, Mr. Beth Egenti, is set to carve a niche for himself in the competitive music world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Egenti, a well-known entertainment mogul, has a reputation for grooming rising stars and organizing high-profile events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">King Voodoo, a native of Abuja and a Mass Communication graduate, shared in a recent interview that his passion for Afrobeat is what sets him apart. \u201cI dabble into all aspects of music, but Afrobeat is my stronghold,\u201d he said. &#8220;I\u2019m flexible, though\u2014I can thrive in any genre if I need to. I also dabble in production and play the guitar, so I like keeping myself busy.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Despite the creative ease he enjoys, the business side of the industry has been a challenge for the young artist. \u201cI\u2019ve struggled to penetrate the industry. You have these visions, but they don\u2019t always go as planned,\u201d King Voodoo admits. However, he remains optimistic, backed by an in-house record label managed by his family, who he credits for supporting his dreams. \u201cAll hands are on deck, and the label is fully registered.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">As for his inspiration, King Voodoo describes himself as an emotional artist who pours his feelings into his music. \u201cI want my listeners to enjoy the flavor of my music, but I also want them to take away a message,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">King Voodoo has yet to choose a single mentor in the industry, instead opting to learn from the successes of various artists. \u201cI research what others are doing right and implement it in my own work,\u201d he shared.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Having once worked as a photographer, King Voodoo established connections with prominent artists but prefers to maintain his independence. \u201cI\u2019ve had friendly conversations with established artists, but I don\u2019t want to feel like a burden,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Now, with four tracks gaining traction across streaming platforms, King Voodoo is ready for his big break. His mentor, Mr. Beth Egenti, echoed this sentiment, stating, \u201cWith proper packaging, the sky is not his limit\u2014it\u2019s just the starting point.
