{"id":19358,"date":"2024-08-27T21:23:45","date_gmt":"2024-08-27T21:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=19358"},"modified":"2024-08-27T21:23:45","modified_gmt":"2024-08-27T21:23:45","slug":"real-reason-bichi-was-sacked-insider-reveals-detail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=19358","title":{"rendered":"Real reason Bichi was sacked, insider reveals detail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Emerging details have shed light on the sudden removal of Yusuf Bichi, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).<\/p>\n<p>According to sources who spoke with Guardian, President Bola Tinubu\u2019s decision is rooted in his administration\u2019s ongoing efforts to intensify the fight against terrorism and kidnapping across Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Insiders revealed that Bichi\u2019s dismissal was influenced by his alleged interference with National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu\u2019s strategy to stamp out terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>Ribadu reportedly felt that Bichi was undermining his coordinating efforts to execute the President\u2019s directives aimed at ridding the nation of security threats.<\/p>\n<p>The source said, \u201cRibadu feels Bichi has been sabotaging his coordinating efforts to carry out the marching order given by the President to rid the country of terrorists and kidnappers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a series of high-profile security reshuffles on Tuesday, Tinubu approved the appointment of Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), alongside Adeola Ajayi, who will now lead the DSS as Bichi\u2019s replacement.<\/p>\n<p>President Tinubu in a statement released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the appointment.<\/p>\n<p>The new DSS Director-General, Adeola Ajayi, rose through the ranks to attain his current post of Assistant Director-General of the Service.
