target=\"_blank\">People&#8217;s Democratic Party<\/a> (PDP) are set to appear before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on June 11, 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They face allegations those of the <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/no-plan-for-merger-with-any-party-says-pdp\/?amp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PDP<\/a> in Lagos State. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Several PDP candidates, feeling betrayed, have dragged George and six others to court, accusing them of violating the <a href=\"https:\/\/punchng.com\/no-plan-for-merger-with-any-party-says-pdp\/?amp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PDP<\/a> constitution, which they swore to uphold as members of the Board of Trustees (BOT).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">After exhausting the internal mechanisms of the PDP without resolution, the plaintiffs filed suit No: FHC\/L\/CS\/534\/24, naming the party as a co-defendant. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They seek a court interpretation of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended), which stipulates that anyone involved in anti-party activities shall be expelled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The outcome of this case could have far-reaching implications for the <a
