{"id":18337,"date":"2024-04-10T18:24:34","date_gmt":"2024-04-10T18:24:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=18337"},"modified":"2024-04-10T18:27:00","modified_gmt":"2024-04-10T18:27:00","slug":"corporate-affairs-commission-imposes-caveat-on-fbn-holdings-amid-shareholder-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=18337","title":{"rendered":"Corporate Affairs Commission Imposes Caveat On FBN Holdings Amid Shareholder Dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.cac.gov.ng\/&amp;sa=U&amp;sqi=2&amp;ved=2ahUKEwj4j4HQoriFAxViWkEAHaa3D90QFnoECB0QAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw0M5sQNmis1zJ8F3zzwt91A\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Corporate Affairs Commission<\/a> (CAC) has issued a caveat regarding the affairs of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.fbnholdings.com\/&amp;sa=U&amp;sqi=2&amp;ved=2ahUKEwi-zpXooriFAxWSVkEAHYsjDAQQFnoECCIQAQ&amp;usg=AOvVaw24IMCeKMEFtaN_oytoKXYG\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FBN Holdings PLC<\/a> until the resolution of a case filed by disgruntled shareholders.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The CAC conveyed this information in a letter dated September 20, 2023, signed by Chidinma Maureen Nwite on behalf of the Registrar-General. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The letter, addressed to Adebayo &amp; Gbadamosi Legal Practitioners in Abuja, stated that FBN Holdings PLC&#8217;s record has been placed on caveat pending the outcome of Suit No. FHC\/L\/CS\/1575\/2023. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This action follows interim orders from the Federal High Court restraining FBN Holdings PLC from conducting its purported Annual General Meeting held on August 15, 2023. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Additionally, FBN Holdings has been embroiled in various court cases since 2022 challenging its governance and shareholding structure, including the case of Olusegun Samuel Onagoruwa v. FBN Holdings Plc.
