{"id":17605,"date":"2024-02-03T11:46:10","date_gmt":"2024-02-03T11:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=17605"},"modified":"2024-02-03T11:48:20","modified_gmt":"2024-02-03T11:48:20","slug":"hijab-rights-advocacy-initiative-leads-other-islamic-groups-students-on-enlightenment-walk-on-benefits-of-the-use-of-hijab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=17605","title":{"rendered":"Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative Leads Other Islamic Groups, Students On Enlightenment Walk On Benefits Of The Use Of Hijab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Hundreds of Muslim women led by the leadership of the Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative have embarked on a walk to enlighten members of the public on the benefits of the use of Hijab among women and growing young female child.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The walk which kicked off from the Allen roundabouts in Ikeja and terminated at Alausa Secretariat Mosque was also in commemoration of this year&#8217;s World Hijab Day marked every February 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17609 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/dcc83396-323b-42cb-ab1b-5b91b56d5ff3-175x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"175\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/dcc83396-323b-42cb-ab1b-5b91b56d5ff3-175x300.jpeg 175w, https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/dcc83396-323b-42cb-ab1b-5b91b56d5ff3.jpeg 464w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 175px) 100vw, 175px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">While addressing the gathering, the Executive Director, Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative, Hajia Mutiat Balogun-Orolu said it was to educate the people on the huge benefits in the use of Hijab and the misconception in some areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She explained that the wearing of Hijab among Muslim women was an injuction from Allah which is also backed by the Hadith of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (May the Blessings of Allah be upon him) and some section of the nation&#8217;s constitution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hajia Mutiat Balogun-Orolu said that it was high time the society do away with some misconception on the use of Hijab which includes religious extremism and lack of quality education.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-17610 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/447aaba2-cf12-4aa0-a1f2-5ab5cc7f652b-253x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"253\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/447aaba2-cf12-4aa0-a1f2-5ab5cc7f652b-253x300.jpeg 253w, https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/447aaba2-cf12-4aa0-a1f2-5ab5cc7f652b.jpeg 464w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 253px) 100vw, 253px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She reiterated the need for government offices both federal and state, companies, public facilities and schools to respect the rights of Muslim women to freely wear their Hijab without any intimidation or harassment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The leader of the advocacy group commended the resilience of Muslim women who still comply with the wearing of Hijab despite the enormous challenges that confronts them in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Hajia Mutiat Orolu-Balogun lamented that high level of moral decadence and social vices in the country was largely due to neglects of the religious dicttaes<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The theme for this year&#8217;s celebration is Veiled in Strength.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Some of the Islamic groups and bodies that participated in the enlightenment walk includes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">1.Hijab Rights Advocacy Initiative<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">2.
