{"id":17489,"date":"2024-01-13T07:26:28","date_gmt":"2024-01-13T07:26:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=17489"},"modified":"2024-01-13T07:27:14","modified_gmt":"2024-01-13T07:27:14","slug":"hold-davido-responsible-if-anything-happens-to-me-tiwa-savage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=17489","title":{"rendered":"Hold Davido Responsible If Anything Happens To Me \u2014 Tiwa Savage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has filed a petition against Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as\u00a0Davido, over an alleged threat to her life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Savage in a petition addressed to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, and circulating online, alleged that the \u2018Omo Baba Olowo\u2019 crooner threatened her over a social media exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">She asked the police boss to hold Davido responsible if anything untoward happened to her, adding that Davido had asked their mutual connections to warn her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Savage explained that the misunderstanding may not be unconnected to her relationship with Sophia Momodu, Davido\u2019s baby mama, whom he (Davido) was having issues with.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The petition read, \u201cI am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, and Mr David Adeleke popularly known as Davido.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cOn the 23rd of December, I made a post which included myself and Soph\u00eda Momodu on my Instagram Story- a feature on Instagram which allows you to put up a post for twenty-four hours, and Mr David Adeleke sent messages to my manager who\u2019s also part of his management team that I shouldn\u2019t worry and should never say a word to him and that I was taunting him, uttering very disrespectful, malicious and derogatory words to my person.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI responded to MR. DAVID ADELEKE\u2019S message and told him not to reach out to me especially as I felt like I had been there for him and his daughter, Imade, and more importantly when he lost his son.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe events of that day have also led to a barrage of calls and messages from our mutual connections, asking me what 1 did to Mr David Adeleke and that he\u2019s upset that I chose to maintain a relationship with Imade\u2019s mother, Sophia Momodu who he\u2019s having issues with and also painting the exchange to look like I was the aggressor. He has also told our mutual connections to warn me to \u201cbe careful in Lagos because he was going to f\u201dk me up\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThis is beginning to feel like some form of online and offline harassment not just to me but also members of my team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe action of Mr David Adeleke is unethical and can be viewed as a direct threat to my rights to life, privacy and dignity of my person as guaranteed in Chapter 4 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), and are also in contravention of Section 2424) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.)
