The Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Ramatallahi Akinlola-Hassann haa vowed to complete all ongoing projects within the council before leaving office at the end of her tenure.<\/p>\n

\nShe also assured residents of improved welfare and infrastructural development during the 2024 fiscal year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The council boss gave this assurance while presenting the 2024 budget tagged Budget of Realisation and Empowerment to the Legislative Arm of the council. <\/span><\/p>\n

The 2024 budget estmate is put at four billion, nine hundred million, four hundred and seventy-five thousand, eight hundred and sixty-four naira and forty six kobo (N4, 900,475,864.46k)<\/span><\/p>\n

From the total budget, the Recurrent expenditure stands at N3, 135, 736, 163.17k\u00a0 <\/span>while the Capital expenditure stands at N1,\u00a0 <\/span>764,739,701.29k.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking on the performance of 2023 budget, the council boss noted that Health, Education, Empowerment, Infrastructure and Environment took the lead with average of eighty five to ninety percent delivery.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Chairman, Ramatallahi Akinlola-Hassan expressed hope that the legislative House will accord priority and give accelerated passage of the budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to her and i quote” I remain Committed to improving the lots of the people and ensure thet the council move forward. We will ensure adequate infrastructurral and also stomach infrastructure to the people of the council during the coming year”. End of quote.<\/span><\/p>\n

While receiving the Budget, the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon Jamiu Jimoh Shittu promised accelerated hearing and quick passage of the Budget proposal.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said that the Legislative arm has been working as a team in the last two years to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Oriade LCDA and environs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hon Jimoh Shittu expressed the need for the executive to increase on the Internally Generated Revenue by blocking the leakages\u00a0 <\/span>despite the rise in Federal allocation to the third tier of government.<\/span><\/p>\n

He therefore charged the executive to ensure transparent implementation of the budget without fear or favour.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Legislative leader of the council concluded by saying that the distribution of Palliatives alone cannot provide succour to the people but expected social amenities through full implementation of the budget.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
