Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, stated that efforts are being made to launch the Students’ Loan Scheme in January 2024.<\/p>\n
This scheme aims to provide interest-free loans to Nigerian students to support their educational aspirations. <\/span><\/p>\n Gbajabiamila explained that the application process for the loan program will be conducted online, and applicants will be verified and credited based on the documents they submit. <\/span><\/p>\n He emphasized that the loan program will be accessible to all students, regardless of personal connections or influence.<\/span><\/p>\n However, Gbajabiamila also acknowledged that the student loan system alone cannot address all the funding needs of public tertiary institutions. <\/span><\/p>\n He stressed the importance of investing in education and increasing resources to improve the quality of scholarship and academic output. <\/span><\/p>\n Gbajabiamila highlighted the need for collaboration between higher institutions and the private sector to bridge the knowledge gaps and prepare students for the changing nature of work and employment opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n The Rector of Yaba College of Technology, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul, highlighted the college’s commitment to youth empowerment through various initiatives. <\/span><\/p>\n These include the establishment of an Industry Advisory Committee, Quadruple Helix Collaboration Scheme for Youth Empowerment, and the Students Work and Study Scheme, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n The theme of the lecture, “Empowering Nigerian Youths in the Present Day Economy,” was selected by the Academic Board of the College to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving global economy. <\/span><\/p>\n The Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, was chosen as the speaker due to his expertise and practical involvement in youth empowerment. <\/span><\/p>\n The college hopes that the lecture will inspire graduates to pursue their dreams and contribute to the development of the nation.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Chief of Staff to the President, Rt.
