{"id":14558,"date":"2023-07-30T15:24:38","date_gmt":"2023-07-30T15:24:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=14558"},"modified":"2023-07-30T15:26:54","modified_gmt":"2023-07-30T15:26:54","slug":"anthrax-disease-lagos-identifies-destroys-infected-animals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theblogonline.com\/?p=14558","title":{"rendered":"Anthrax Disease: Lagos Identifies, Destroys Infected Animals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p2\">Six animals infected with Anthrax disease have been confiscated, burnt and buried by officials of the Lagos State Government to prevent its spread.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The cases were discovered during surveillance of animals on Lagos Island and Agege.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">No case of human infection has either been identified or reported since the discovery of Anthrax disease in Lagos. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Human and animal surveillance activities have been stepped up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Free vaccination activities and monitoring have also been intensified.
