Union Bank of Nigeria has\u00a0 received \u00a0 recognition for its\u00a0 contribution to advancing Gender Equality in the workplace.<\/p>\n
The bank won two awards at the Nigeria 2 Equal Gender Leader Awards, in the \u2018Gender Equality Champion\u2019 and \u2018Gender Diversity in Supply Chain\u2019 category.<\/span><\/p>\n The inaugural awards ceremony which held in Lagos was organised by the InternationalFinance Corporation (IFC) in partnership with the Nigerian\u00a0 <\/span>Exchange\u00a0 <\/span>Limited (NGX) andaims to recognise and celebrate private sector companies and business leaders who havedemonstrated exceptional commitment and efforts in advancing gender equality.<\/span><\/p>\n The awards served as a recognition of the \u00a0 <\/span>significant progress made by the banks \u00a0 <\/span>infostering gender equity and equality within the workplace, while supporting and empoweringwomen across all walks of life. <\/span><\/p>\n The recognition\u00a0 <\/span>highlighted\u00a0 <\/span>Union Bank’s commitment toadvocating for diversity within corporate organisations, cultivating an inclusive culture thatvalues and respects every individual.<\/span><\/p>\n Expressing her delight for the notable \u00a0 <\/span>recognition, Olufunmilola Aluko, Chief Brand \u00a0 <\/span>andMarketing Officer, Union Bank, spoke on behalf of the bank during the awards ceremony.<\/span><\/p>\n She said:\u201cAt Union Bank, we are committed to \u00a0 <\/span>bridging gender gaps, particularly within \u00a0 <\/span>ourorganisation.
