The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has expressed the desire to work with the newly sworn-in President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n
This was disclosed in a statement, on Monday, from Biden to Tinubu while felicitating with the new Nigeria President.<\/span><\/p>\n The PUNCH reports\u00a0 Tinubu and the Vice President, Kashim Shettima were sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola.<\/span><\/p>\n Biden, in the release, reiterates his administration\u2019s readiness to work with Tinubu \u201cto strengthen ties between the United States and Nigeria.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n He said, \u201cOn behalf of the people of the United States, I send warm wishes to the government and people of Nigeria as they inaugurate a new President. I look forward to continuing this work with President Tinubu to support economic growth, advance security, and promote respect for human rights.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The US President expressed optimism about the ideas and energy of the dynamic connection between the two countries, noting that the US will continue to work closely with the most populous country in Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAs Africa\u2019s largest democracy and economy, Nigeria\u2019s success is the world\u2019s success. Elected leaders owe it to their people to show that democracy can deliver for their needs.
