National President, Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), Comrade Razaq Olokoba has congratulated the Kwara State Central Senatorial District on the victory of Mallam Saliu Mustapha during the Presidential and National Assembly poll conducted on February 25, saying, they have made the best choice from the multitude that contested for the coveted post.

Recall that, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on February 25, defeated other contestants from all other political parties to win the Kwara Central Senatorial District election to represent he district at the Senate for the 10th Assembly in Abuja.

Commenting on the electoral feat in a statement on Sunday in Ilorin, Olokoba, who led other 69 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), to campaign for the winner assured his constituents of robust representation at the Upper Legislative Chambers from Mallam Saliu Mustapha, who he described severally as, “a goal getter, man with milk of human kindness in his veins and a personality who feels uncomfortable when others are not comfortable.”

According to Olokoba, “with various leadership and humanitarian qualities we saw in Saliu Mustapha before we started selling him to the good people of the Kwara Central District, he will not disappoint, but will rather represent them with robust participations in anything that will be of benefit for his people in terms of dividends of democracy.”

The Ilorin, Kwara State born youthful activist and social analyst reminded that, Saliu Mustapha, who has been taking care of humanity as a private citizen with his personal resources will not find it difficult using the people’s fund to take care of the people, urging his constituents to give the Senator-elect the maximum support he requires to discharge his duties diligently when eventually inaugurated.

The statement further commended all the 70 member organizations that make up the coalition for their un-relented efforts towards ensuring the success of their principal, Saliu Mustapha, just as he congratulated them also on the victory of their friend (Mustapha), assuring them that, “the Mustapha we know will not disappoint those who worked for him because of their belief in him as someone who would perform.”

Olokoba therefore urged the Senator-elect also to wave the olive branch towards other contestants for the same position and failed just as he called on those who contested against him to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship for the sake of the generality of the people of the district and Kwara State in general, reminding that, “the duty of nation building is a collective assignment for all well-meaning Nigerians.”

Convener, Coalition of 70 Civil Society Organizations and National
