Ex-Lagos State Governorship Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ade Dosunmu, Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Lagos Central, Adesunbo Onitiri as well as prominent Politicians from opposition political parties have decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.<\/p>\n
They were officially received at an elaborate ceremony held at the party\u2019s Lagos Central Campaign Council Secretariat, Awolowo Rd, Onikan, Lagos Island on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n Dosunmu, Onitiri and other decampees endorsed the re-election of the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos Central Leaders Meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n Ade Dosunmu who was the Governorship candidate of the PDP in 2011 said it is home coming for him to join the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n He said what is best for Lagos is to remain in the hands of the progressives since the party had retained the government at the central.<\/span><\/p>\n Dr Dosunmu explained that his decision to pitch his tent with APC is also because Lagos for the first time has produced someone in Bola Tinubu to lead Nigeria and deserves support of all stakeholders to succeed. <\/span><\/p>\n Chairman Elders Committee of the Labour Party, Chief Sunbo Onitiri said he returned to APC to support the tradition of continuity in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n He said that he came with Chairmen of 12 political parties in the state to endorse Governor Sanwoolu for second term.<\/span><\/p>\n Also speaking, the state party Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi said they have opened their doors widely to receive them into the folds of APC.<\/span><\/p>\n He said APC will continue the giant strides of developing the state with the return of Governor Sanwoolu to Ikeja House.<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, for over thirty years, the country is now having as President elect, a true Democrats that knows what to do to boost Socio-economic development of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Ex-Lagos State Governorship Candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ade Dosunmu, Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Lagos Central, Adesunbo Onitiri as well as prominent Politicians from opposition political parties have decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
