The Lagos State Government<\/a> has disclosed that it has paid compensation of Seventy Million Naira to security officers<\/a> who died or got injured in the line of duty in the State since the inception of this administration in May 2019.<\/p>\n

The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State<\/a> Governor, Mr. Tayo Ayinde stated this at the presentation of Five Million Naira cheque to the family of a Rapid Responses Squad<\/a> (RRS) officer; Superintendent of Police<\/a> Oluwatobi Peters who died in active service.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Mr. Ayinde, the State Government<\/a> provided the monetary support as a token and the government\u2019s efforts at comforting the families left behind maintaining that no amount of financial gift can make up for lost lives and the gallantry of the fallen patriots. <\/span><\/p>\n

He further disclosed that medical care were also provided for security operatives<\/a> who got injured while discharging their duty at the expense of the State Government<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Chief of Staff added that these gesture is one of Governor Sanwo-Olu\u2019s policy in ensuring the welfare of security personnel<\/a> for effective performance of their duties in protecting lives and properties in the State which is in line with the THEMES agenda on Security and Good Governance.<\/span><\/p>\n

He gave the assurance that the State Government<\/a> would ensure that the State remain secure and safe with far reaching support to security operatives in the State in 2022 and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his own remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Chief of Staff; Mr. Olawale Musa expressed the commitment of the present administration to consistently compensate beneficiaries (Next of Kin) of Police Officers<\/a> that passed away in active service in the State. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
